Italian Progressive Metal band Ghost on Mars are thrilled to announce the release of their first live record EP "Live Signals" coming via Willowtip Records and available on all major digital platforms. The EP features six tracks taken from the show held on October 30, 2025, at Stazione Birra (Rome, Italy); and “That Time I Saw the Moon” is a track from the album Out of Time and Space, released via Willowtip Records in 2024. The track is a tribute to a short story by Luigi Pirandello (Ciaula Discovers the Moon), reimagined in a sci-fi key: it tells the story of a man, imprisoned on a planet near Earth, who sees the Moon for the first time. The tracks were mixed and mastered at NMG Studio by Alex Di Nunzio. The French band's debut album, "Diogonos," centered on the mythological figure of Dionysus received rave reviews and support from both the press and metal maniacs. Two years later it's time for the sophomore album, "La Tourbe Des Rêves" (The Peat of Dreams), once again recorded completely live and destined to confirm DIONYSIAQUE among the best exponents of the most ferocious, primordial and thrash-tinged doom metal around today. While remaining utterly narrative in its execution, "La Tourbe Des Rêves" is not to be seen as a conceptual work, despite its strong political stance against fascism. "Aaron" pays tribute to the late Aaron Bushnell, a young American marine who immolated himself by fire, in front of an Israeli embassy, to protest against the genocide in Palestine. "Hate Fruit" tells about how Italian villagers retaliated against fascists who abused their privileges during the 1940's. "La Vierge Noire" deals with Germaine Berton, an anarchist from the early 20th century who murdered a far right representative in order to avenge the assassination of French President Jean Jaurès, while "La Commune" is obviously talking about the historical time of 1871 when the Commune of Paris saw a social rise against the brutal class war led by the bourgeoisie who collaborated with the Prussians in order to slaughter the rebellious population. On the other hand, songs like "Accabadora"—about elderly ladies in Sardinia who ritually practiced euthanasia as a definitive way to alleviate the suffering of the dying—and "The Two Headed Boy"—the story of two 17th-century Siamese twins tried for murder—are both closely intertwined with the theme of death and how it can be evoked or questioned. Probably the darkest release by DIONYSIAQUE so far, in "La Tourbe Des Rêves" both social and metaphysical matters infiltrate the compositions. It's a cathartic experience, akin to the earliest Delta Blues music, conjuring all the negativity and expunging the black bile that lately suffocate bodies and minds. The band moulds peat into a desolate beauty, offering a glimpse of hope and love at the end of the tunnel and—by doing so—conveying the essence of doom metal in a personal, unorthodox way. "“Slave Species of the Gods” was filmed at our performance in Santa Ana on October 11th during our tour with Immolation. Directed and edited by Gabe Gomez, who first filmed us on our very first tour, the video for this song evokes the disorienting, chaotic and psychedelic vibe of our live concert. Filmed directly onto VHS, the video contains an aesthetic similar to many of our favorite old recordings of classic bands while also being engagingly trippy. The song itself was the second song written for "Hidden History of the Human Race" and has been played live since the Decibel tour. Barnabus were a band from the West Midlands/Warwickshire region of the UK, who were active between the years 1970-1973. During that time they built up a local reputation and recorded an album of heavy-duty material in late 1971, which has never seen the light of day until now! Apart from a handful of acetates being made up and distributed to family & friends, Beginning to Unwind has remained an unreleased album for all this time. After several years of extensive research, Rise Above Relics is delighted to bring you this underground heavy 70s monster, painstakingly remastered from the original analogue tapes, which have been carefully baked for optimal reproduction. In their day, Barnabus were actually given the seal of approval by none other than the dark princes of Doom themselves: Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi, when they judged them winners in the regional heat of a national competition for legendary British Music paper, Melody Maker, in 1972! The CD edition comes with a 44-page booklet detailing the history of the band, including many photos and flyers from their personal archives. Cycle were a very popular progressive hard rock band from the Northeast of England, who performed locally between 1968-1976. During that time they recorded two full length albums, the first of which (recorded in 1971) was privately pressed by the band in a quantity of less than 99 copies, without artwork. These were distributed amongst friends, fans, family and sent to various publishers, record companies, promoters and record companies. The album is now a major want on many serious collector’s lists, values at £1,500-2,000 for an original white label copy. In 1973, they self-financed the recording of a second album, though this wasn’t released at all (until now). After several years of intensive research, Rise Above Relics is delighted to bring you this fully authorised release, featuring all of Cycle’s studio output, including their final two track demo from 1975. All recordings have been painstakingly restored to the highest spec possible. The CD edition comes with a 40-page booklet, outlining the history of the band with tons of photos and flyers from the band member’s personal archive. Cycle were, without doubt, a truly excellent band during the underground progressive era of the early 70s. There is no denying that they should have received wider recognition and a proper recording contract. Although very much a band of their time, Cycle combined the heaviness of Black Sabbath with the cosmic vibes of Hawkwind.
