Building on the progressive and post-punk influences of their previous releases, the band now incorporates hypnotic krautrock rhythms, haunting synthesizers and increasingly bleak atmospheres, while simultaneously embracing a more brutal and uncompromising sound. Having expanded into a four-piece, FLOATING have developed a rawer, more organic approach. They have brought a newfound sense of urgency to their sound. ”Firewatching” is FLOATING's most atmospheric and ambitious project. It is a soundtrack to dark times. The album is out in early 2027. Keep watch!" Line up: Arvid Sjödin - Vocals, guitars Andreas Hörmark - Bass, synthesizers Påhl Sundström - Guitars Erik Sundström - Drums Artwork by Påhl Sundström Lyrics: I remember my home as much less cold My back is pierced by the stares of a hundred doll-like eyes I come apart Being trapped inside a house built of dead children's bones Always hearing their calls And the howling sound of feet Torn-off nails on the pavement Torn-off hair in water Torn-off nails on the pavement Torn-off hair Rays of light all over my arms A lengthening hallway And a grinning tomb where your house once was And torn-off nails on the pavement And torn-off hair in water Torn-off nails on the pavement Raised by the howling sound of feet
