Official album stream of Hanzaisha’s first demo for 2026, Demonarchy. This demo has an aggressive, in-your-face, punk-inspired approach to war metal, perfect for both fans of war metal bands like Blasphemy, Conqueror, Revenge, and Archgoat, and fans of crust punk bands like Extreme Noise Terror, Doom, Discharge, and Electro Hippies.
Tracklist:
00:00 1. Warmongering Christ (Intro)
01:14 2. Angel Lust
03:29 3. God In Seething
05:31 4. Demonarchy
Album description:
Hanzaisha started in the year 2024 after the breakup of an early project of Black Infestation called “Gouniromech”, with the support of their fellow local crust punk band Disisto. Under Hanzaisha, the musical focus would shift towards war metal and black death metal while maintaining a crust-influenced intensity to the sound.
Originally, Alcoholizer, the vocalist of Disisto, offered to play drums for the band and rehearsed with Black Infestation. He has since stepped away in 2025, but Black Infestation remained undeterred, with Unholy Emperor, Antichrist Supremacy Violations, and Liberated Chaos Machines proving themselves to be great Japan-style war metal releases, alongside fellow commandos Iron Bludgeon and Sex Messiah.
It was not until the end of September that Black Infestation was finally joined by USA-based session drummer and producer Plague Hammer aka Jared Moran on drums. This culminated in the duo re-recording three songs from the band’s self-titled 2025 EP, and unveiling the results as a new demo for 2026: Demonarchy.
Taking their earlier crust punk-influenced war metal sound and pushing it to its logical conclusion, Hanzaisha has managed to create something far more unholy and chaotic in its surprisingly lively execution. The Demonarchy demo will prove to be a stunning fullest expression of Hanzaisha’s punk-influenced, Japan-style war metal.
Balanced between elements of Sarcófago’s INRI, Sodom’s Obsessed By Cruelty, Conqueror’s War Cult Supremacy, and Discharge’s Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing, the demo is relentlessly punishing and utterly filthy, cheap, and muddy in its aggression and heaviness, while still having a simple straight-ahead D-beat feel, that will appeal to fans of both war metal bands like Blasphemy, Revenge, Conqueror, Archgoat, Gravesend, and Antichrist Siege Machine, and crust punk / D-beat bands like Doom, Extreme Noise Terror, Discharge, Disrupt, Electro Hippies, and Antisect.
