BAND SIGNING ANNOUNCEMENT: Black metal band Muerto from Mexico

We're glad to have more black metal music on the label. Muerto here have an interesting sound, merging their kind of black metal with elements of death and doom metal, all while retaining a certain rawness in the music which has its own charm when contrasted against the melodic passages and grooves. Their album can be expected in early 2026 but before that, you can listen to one of the their tracks here.

Band's statement: "It's an absolute honor for us to be joining the Transcending Obscurity roster, especially after so many groundbreaking releases in recent years that have become a marker of the label. To be considered alongside such artists is hard to grasp. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to expand our sound to unsuspecting ears internationally. This album has been in development for a few years, and has become an important journey for our band both personally and professionally. The underlying lyrical themes of self exploration and self confrontation alongside the experimental aspect of its sound towards a darker, cruder ambience, make this album very special to us. We can't wait to share it in full."
