The concept for 'An Insatiable Violence' came to Cryptopsy's vocalist Matt McGachy in a dream. It's an allegory for our toxic relationship with social media, which Matt has experienced firsthand with his Vox & Hops podcast. In the dream, a person spends all day building a machine, only for it to torture them all through the night. As if that wasn’t twisted enough, they like it.
